HTC U11 Life

HTC has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the US unlocked U11 Life as confirmed by the company’s Mo Versi, VP, Product Management on Twitter. While the international U11 Life which is powered by Android-One already runs on Stock Android 8.0, the U11 Life US model was launched last month running Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Sense U.I.Though being launched with Nougat, the company was very quick in rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update with custom Sense U.I. It should be noted that only the unlocked variant is getting the Android Oreo update, and there is no word about the T-Mobile specific variant yet. As the update has just started rolling out, it might some time before it reaches everyone.

The update will also bring November security patch and many U.I enhancements like notification channels, Background limits, Snooze notifications, Picture in Picture (PIP) display and many more. Like always, the update file is expected to be around 1GB in size.
