Google is rolling out yet another useful feature for Assistant that helps you connect with local home services like an electrician, plumber, house cleaner and more. Assistant already helps you with key information local traffic or a local business.
To get started with the local services, you just need to say “Ok Google, find me a plumber” on your Android phone, iPhone or voice-activated speaker. Before offering you with the details, Assistant will ask you a few follow-up questions to accurately figure out what you’re looking for and then get a list of some local options nearby.
This feature is currently available in the US and will be rolling out in the coming weeks. Google Assistant will suggest providers that have been prescreened by Google and partnering companies like HomeAdvisor and Porch. For those who are in cities that don’t have any available guaranteed or screened providers, Google Assistant will still get an answer from the Assistant with other nearby results.
