Apple introduced its first Siri-powered smart speaker HomePod at WWDC 2017 back in June for $349. At that time the company said that it will ship the device starting in December in Australia, the UK and the US. Now the company has released a statement saying that it will be available only in early 2018 saying that it need “a little more time” before the HomePod is ready, but it did not provide any reason for the delay. In late 2017, when most of the OEMs are releasing schedule for the Oreo update, a  lot of budget phones that are launched still run on Android Marshmallow. Xiaomi Redmi 4A was launched back in March 2017 with MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), but Xiaomi didn’t announce anything regarding the Android update for the device till date. Also, Redmi 4A was amongst the few devices which didn’t receive MIUI 9 Global Beta update until this Friday. Yesterday, Xiaomi rolled out MIUI Global Beta 7.11.16 for Redmi 4A, and surprisingly this new update is based on Android Nougat 7.1.2. Airtel partnered with Karbonn Mobiles last month to launch Karbonn A40 Indian, 4G VoLTE phone at an effective price of Rs. 1399. Later it launched the  Celkon Smart 4G at an effective price of Rs. 1349. Now it has launched two more Karbonn 4G VoLTE smartphones – Karbonn A1 Indian with support for 22 Indian languages and A41 Power with a 2300mAh battery

Twitter is testing tweetstorm feature on Android and iOS

Twitter has started testing tweetstorm feature on its Android app. The feature was first discovered back in September, but it was hidden. Now the feature has started showing up for some users who are using Alpha version of the app. Twitter has confirmed that it has been testing the feature in alpha and beta programs on iOS and Android for select users. The new features will make it easier to queue several tweets otherwise known as”tweetstorm” and pushed them together, without having to type and send them individually.

How to flash MIUI Recovery ROM using updater app

We already talked about different versions of MIUI in a post earlier, and in case you’re willing to update your phone manually (without OTA), this tutorial will be helpful. One of the methods commonly used by the users for manually updating is flashing via updater app, Updater app method should be used only for updating MIUI Stable/Beta ROM.   This method should not be used for downgrading MIUI Stable/Beta ROM or switching between MIUI Beta ROM and MIUI Stable ROM otherwise system apps might crashes frequently, users should prefer flashing using Fastboot Method if downgrading MIUI Stable/Beta ROM or switching between MIUI Beta ROM and MIUI Stable ROM. Facebook Creator app for video creators released

Facebook has released a new Creator app for video creators to take on YouTube. It is the same Mentions app that was introduced for celebrities and public figures with verified profiles back in 2014. This has been rebranded to Creator and can be used by all individuals on pages or profiles. OnePlus released Android 8.0 (Oreo) Open Beta for OnePlus 3 and 3T last month and said that it will release the update for its OnePlus 5 users soon. Yesterday at the OnePlus 5T launch event Brian Yoon, Head of user experience design division at OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will get the Android Oreo Open Beta update this November. He also said that there are over 250 closed beta testers and over 15,000 open beta testers. Apple releases iOS 11.1.2 with fix for unresponsive iPhone X screens in cold weather

Apple released iOS 11.1.1 update for iPhone and iPad last week to fix an autocorrect bug that caused “i” to autocorrect to A[?] in the keyboard. Now it has pushed out iOS 11.1.2 update that fixes iPhone X screen becoming temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment and working only after several seconds, as reported by a lot of users last week. Apple was quick to acknowledge the issues and promised a fix.
