OPPO R11s with 6.01-inch full-screen display, 20MP + 16MP dual rear cameras teased ahead of Nov 2 announcement

OPPO recently confirmed that it will unveil the R11S, successor of R11 at an event in China on November 2nd. Today it has listed the phone on its official OPPO Shop that shows its unibody metal design in a range of images. The company has also confirmed 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras with f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with A.I. Beauty Recognition technology, similar to the OPPO F5 to recognize skin tone and type, the gender and age of all subjects within an image and analyze environment lighting conditions.

Vivo V7+ Battery Life Test – #OneChargeRating

Vivo launched the V7+ selfie-focused smartphone in India last month for Rs. 21990. We already brought you the review of the phone, here we have the battery life test results of the phone. It packs a 3225mAh battery, but lacks support for fast charging. It has a 5.99-inch HD+ FullView display, is powered by Snapdragon 450 14nm Mobile Platform, has 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with Funtouch OS 3.2 on top. Check out the test results. LG profits up 82%, mobile revenue up 8% YoY in Q3 2017

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.22 trillion won (US$ 13.44 billion) in the third quarter that ended September 30, 2017, which is up 15.12% compared to the same quarter last year. This is due to strong sales in home entertainment and appliances sector despite the gloomy business environment resulting from increasing international trade concerns, said LG. It has reported operating income of 516.1 billion won (US$ 455.7 million), up 82.26% for the same quarter in 2016, as it had reported in preliminary results. Xiaomi schedules an event in India on November 2 to launch a new series, Redmi Note 5A expected

Xiaomi just sent out invites for the launch of a new series on November 2nd. The company has also tweeted from its Redmi India handle with “Your best self is within you!” and #YourBestSelfie hashtag so it will likely be the top-end version of the Redmi Note 5A with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that was introduced back in August.

Reliance Communications may shut down 2G business by November

Reliance Communications (RCOM) called off the merger with Maxis Communications Berhad (MCB), promoters of Aircel earlier this month. Today multiple reports say that the company will shut down its 2G business by November 30th citing “creative destruction” by Reliance Jio. The company this week confirmed that it will be shutting down its direct to home (DTH) business Reliance Digital TV from 18 November due to the expiry of its DTH licence.

Amazon updates Kindle app for Android and iOS with new look, easy search and more

Amazon today updated its Kindle app that brings All-New Design and several new features. Amazon says that the new look is built around the books you love. You can between the new light theme or existing dark theme. You can quickly navigate with one-tap access to the things you use most, including your most recent book. U.S. users also get new community tab featuring Goodreads discovery and discussion features on Kindle for iOS.

Apple iPhone X pre-orders begin October 27 on Flipkart and Amazon in India

Apple introduced the iPhone X, its flagship iPhone with several new features at an event last month. It already said that the phone will be available for pre-order from October 27 in more than 55 countries and territories including India. Now Flipkart and Amazon.in have announced that the phone will be available for pre-order on the same date. It will be available for pre-order on Flipkart from 12:31PM and Amazon.in will start taking pre-orders from mid-night.
