Karbonn Platinum P9, the company’s first smartphone in the Platinum series is available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 6-inch qHD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung has started rolling out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900) smartphone in India. It rolled out Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the smartphone back in January last year. Samsung started rolling out Lollipop update for Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 users in some regions last month. The Galaxy S4 got the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update in India last month. Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5S price increase by up to Rs. 2500 in India

Apple has increased the price of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 5S smartphones in India. The increase price could be the result of increase in excise duty on mobile phones imported into India, which was increased to 12.5% from existing 6% in the recent Union Budget. Apple launched the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus smartphones in India back in October. Check out the detailed price change. Huawei introduced the Honor 4X smartphone in China last year. This has the same 5.5-inch HD display, runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Emotion UI 3.0, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB RAM and 8GB internal memory with expansion slot, but the main difference is the processor. NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV gaming and streaming console with Tegra X1 announced for $199

NVIDIA has announced its SHIELD gaming console at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The console is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor with 256-core Maxwell architecture GPU, 64-bit CPU and runs on Android TV OS. It will have over 50 Android titles optimized for SHIELD, including Crysis 3, Doom 3: BFG EditionT and Borderlands: TPS. This is the the world’s first Android TV console, which delivers video, music, apps and games to the home, says the company.
