Nvidia announced its Shield Android Android TV and streaming console in March and today the device is officially going on sale. The console is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor with 256-core Maxwell architecture GPU, 64-bit CPU and runs on Android TV OS.

NVIDIA has announced its SHIELD gaming console at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The console is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor with 256-core Maxwell architecture GPU, 64-bit CPU and runs on Android TV OS. It will have over 50 Android titles optimized for SHIELD, including Crysis 3, Doom 3: BFG EditionT and Borderlands: TPS. This is the the world’s first Android TV console, which delivers video, music, apps and games to the home, says the company.
