Reliance Retail has launched Flame 7S and Wind 4S, two new smartphones with 4G VoLTE (Voice over LTE) support. The Flame 7S is an entry-level smartphone with a 4-inch WVGA screen, 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, while the Wind 4S is a budget phone with a 5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 210 processor and 2GB of RAM. itel Mobile, one of the latest entrant to the Indian smartphone market has launched it1520, its latest selfie-focused smartphone with a 13-megapixel camera. Even though the company says that it has an Iris scanner, looking at the images it doesn’t seem like it has a dedicated iris scanner like the Samsung Galaxy Note7 for biometric unlocking. The smartphone will likely use the 13-megapixel front-facing camera to scan the patterns in the eye, offering password-free unlocking solution. This is used in ZTE phones.

At the end of the auction government got bids worth Rs. 65,789 crore, less than their target.
