Xiaomi Redmi Note 7/7S MIUI Software Update Tracker [Update: MIUI V10.3.7.0 with August Security Patch]


Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India back in February running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) and launched the updated Redmi Note 7S with 48 MP rear camera back in May running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on an average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once in 30-60 days.

MIUI Updates rolled out for the smartphone:

  • [Aug 13, 2019]: Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 10.3.7.0.PFGINXM with August security patch, the update weighs around 381 MBs in size and brings the option to lock google contacts along with bug fixes. [Download Link]
  • [July 22, 2019]: Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 10.3.6.0.PFGINXM with July security patch, the update weighs around 587 MBs in size and brings lock screen clock customization along with several bug fixes to both the smartphones.
  • [May 21, 2019]: Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 10.3.5.0.PFGINXM with May security patch, the update weighs around 708 MBs in size and brings several features including Dark ModeFace unlock for App Lock, along with several bug fixes and optimizations to the smartphone. [Download Link]
  • [April 11, 2019]: Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 10.2.11.0.PFGINXM for Redmi Note 7, to optimize the performance and improve system stability. The update also brings March security patch to the device.
  • [March 25, 2019]: Xiaomi releases Android 9.0 (Pie) based kernel sources for the Redmi Note 7.
  • [March 18, 2019]: Xiaomi announces MIUI 10 Global Beta testing for Redmi Note 7 series.
  • [March 13, 2019]: Xiaomi pushed MIUI 10.2.7.0.PFGINXM update with February security patch for the smartphone to enhance the low light camera performance.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7S smartphone with the 48MP rear camera starting at Rs 10,999 this week, as per an official announcement the Redmi Note 7S will replace the Redmi Note 7.
