Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 12 along with Mi 10 Youth Edition at an event in China back in March. The devices have started receiving MIUI China Closed Beta update in China, and the builds were leaked as a result, we could bring you MIUI 12 New Features and First look.
As per the schedule shared during the launch, Xiaomi has planned to roll out MIUI 12 (China ROM only) for all the supported devices starting this month in three batches. The company finally announced MIUI 12 Global ROM last month at an event in Europe. MIUI 12 Global roll-out is supposed to start sometime later this month for few devices as the company has already kicked-off MIUI Global Pilot program for Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro, Mi 9T, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro. As per our sources, MIUI Global testers from India have also started receiving MIUI 12 on Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20.
Now, Xiaomi is extending MIUI Global Pilot program to more devices. As per the recruitment thread posted on Mi Community, the company is looking for MIUI 12 Pilot testers for the following devices,
- POCO F1 (POCOPHONE F1)
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi Note 7
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Redmi Note 7/7S
The Redmi Note 8 Pro and POCO F1 already run on Android 10, and there are good chances that Redmi Note 7/7S and Note 7 Pro will get updated to Android 10 with MIUI 12 update.
The recruitment is open to all users with limited slots, users are also supposed to install an instant messenger Telegram and join the telegram group to discuss bugs with other testers and team. The application deadline for MIUI Global Pilot program is not mentioned in the post but the selection of users will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
