Google Nexus 10 Unboxing

The Nexus program from Google has been transforming from a developer focused one to a completely consumer focused one. The message is very clear, Google wants to use its services(Google Play) and the best possible way to use them is by buying their Nexus devices. Starting from the Nexus One, the program has seen many phones, till the Nexus 4(See our unboxing here) a 7 inch tablet made by ASUS, the Nexus 7, but we never got to see a 10 inch one. But then, amidst “Sandy”, Google launched the first 10 inch Nexus device – The Google Nexus 10, made by Samsung. And yes, we have got it in our hands already, after a terrible launch delay. Panasonic has launched  Toughpad FZ-A1, durable Tablet running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) for business users. It has a 10.1-inch XGA (1024 x 768 pixels ) TFT touch screen display with anti-glare for reading even under sunlight and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Marvell processor. It is Water and Dust proof and is IP65 certified. It has mono microphone and mono waterproof speakers, digitizer pen and comes with enhanced security features with dedicated security core that is FIPS 140-2 Level 2 compliant. Byond Mi-book L1, L1+ and L9+ Android Tablets launched, priced between Rs. 6299 and Rs. 8999

Byond Tech has launched 3 new Android tablets in the Laplet series that offers portability of a tablet and the functionality of a laptop. These come with a keyboard that is convenient for typing. The Mi-book L1 and L1 come with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, while the Mi-Book L9+ comes with a 9-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display. WishTel IRA Icon HD 8-inch 3G tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs.12999

WishTel has launched IRA Icon HD, their new tablet with a 8-inch TFT capacitive multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. It has 3G support with built-in SIM card slot and has voice calling features. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The company launched a 7-inch tablet IRA THING 2 and a 10.1-inch IRA Comet HD few months back. Penta T-Pad WS802C-2G 8-inch Android tablet with Voice calling launched for Rs. 8299

Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS802C-2G, their new tablet with built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It has a 8-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. Google Nexus 7 went on sale in India earlier this month for Rs. 19,999, but the price was high compared to the U.S, where the 16GB Nexus 7 is available for $199. Aakash 2 low-cost Tablet launched, UbiSlate 7Ci goes on sale

Aakash 2 ultra low-cost tablet, successor of Aaksash tablet was launched by the President of India , Pranab Mukherjee and the Human Resources & Development (HRD) Minister, MM Pallam Raju. It comes at a price tag of Rs. 1,130 for students, while the commercial version, UbiSlate 7Ci is available for purchase at Rs. 4,499. DataWind would supply 100,000 units of Aakash 2 to IIT Bombay and also aims to distribute them to Engineering colleges and universities. It comes with upgraded specifications including a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor and has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 32GB expandable memory and a front-facing camera. Byond Tech has launched 2 new Android Tablets, Mi-book Mi5 and Mi-book Mi9 in India. The Mi-Book Mi5 comes with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, while the Mi-Book Mi9 has a 9-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display. These tablets are powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Mi-book Mi5 has SIM card slot with voice calling, Bluetooth and 3G support via Dongle. The company launched Mi-book Mi1 and Mi-book Mi3 tablets last month. Apple iPad mini Unboxing

The Apple iPad mini was announced on October 23rd and was launched across select countries worldwide on November 2nd. We managed to get our hands on the device and bring this unboxing for you.We have both the white and black versions of the iPad mini with us and we will also be comparing it with Nexus 7 and the iPad 2.

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite Tablet now available in India for Rs. 13700


Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was announced back is August is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and 3G support with voice calling, SMS and MMS. It has a 3.2 Megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera for video calling.  It also has 1080p HD video playback at 30 frames per second. Byond Mi-book Mi3 Tablet with 7-inch display, Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 6090

Byond Tech has launched Mi-book Mi3, their new Android tablet in the Mi-book range . Most of the features are similar to the Mi1 tablet including a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS and 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has a 2MP camera at the back along with a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It has 3D video and gaming support and comes with free 3D goggles in the box similar to the Mi1. Penta T-Pad WS702C 7-inch tablet with 1GB RAM, Voice calling launched for Rs. 7,499

Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS702C their new Android tablet with 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and a built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It also has 3G support via dongle and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor with Mali 400 GPU similar to the Penta T-Pad WS703C that was launched earlier this month. Zen Mobiles launches UltraTab A900 with 9-inch display, Android 4.0 for Rs. 7999

Zen Mobiles has launched the UltraTab A900, successor of the UltraTab A100 that was launched in July. The UltraTab A900 has a 9-inch capacitive multi-touch display. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) similar to the UltraTab A100. It is sleek and has marble finish. It has 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and has support for Adobe Flash. It has Live Panel menu that lets users to customize the home screen content with images, bookmarks, social feeds and a application tray in the home screen with shortcuts to launch task manager, calendar, music player and more.
