Karbonn Smart Tab 8, a new Android tablet in the Smart Tab range is now available online from Saholic. The Karbonn Smart Tab 8 (Velox) comes with a 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8.0-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display, 3MP rear  camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The company launched Smart Tab 10 10-inch tablet with a similar processor and Android 4.1 OS few weeks back and launched the Smart Tab 9 and Smart Tab 3 back in October. Videocon VT10 10-inch tablet running Android 4.1 now available for Rs. 11200

Looks like Videocon is on a roll. The company launched A20 and A30, affordable dual-SIM Android smartphones earlier this week, now their first tablet Videocon VT10 is on sale from online retailers, Snapdeal and HomeShop18. This tablet has a 10-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 2MP rear and front-facing cameras. It also comes with pre-loaded apps including NexGtv, Saavn ,Facebook, Nimbuzz and more. Intex iBuddy Connect 7-inch tablet with Voice calling, Android 4.0 launched for Rs 7,990

Intex has launched the iBuddy Connect, a new 7-inch tablet in the iBuddy range. Most of the features are similar to the 7-inch i-Buddy tablet that was launched earlier this year, but this comes with a SIM card slot and supports voice calling features. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with a 2MP rear camera other than the VGA front-facing camera. It also comes with pre-loaded apps such as Nimbuzz, Skype, Facebook, India Today and Aaj Tak. Simmtronics XPAD X-720 7-inch Tablet with Android 4.0 launched in India for Rs. 4600

Simmtronics Semiconductors has launched XPAD X-720 with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor and comes with a VGA front-facing camera. The tablet is made in Simmtronics factory in India and the company had already launched the tablet in Middle East and GCC countries like Saudi, Qatar and UAE. Karbonn Smart Tab 10 officially launched for Rs. 10,490

Karbonn has officially launched the Smart Tab 10 (Cosmic) in India that showed up on online retail site earlier this week. It has a 9.7-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and comes with a 2MP rear  camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

Zen UltraTab A700 3G 7-inch Android Tablet with Voice calling launched for Rs. 9499

Zen Mobile has launched UltraTab A700 3G, their new tablet in the UltraTab range. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) similar to the UltraTab A100. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has a SIM card slot that supports 3G/2G SIM cards and also comes with voice calling capabilities. Google Nexus 10 Unboxing

The Nexus program from Google has been transforming from a developer focused one to a completely consumer focused one. The message is very clear, Google wants to use its services(Google Play) and the best possible way to use them is by buying their Nexus devices. Starting from the Nexus One, the program has seen many phones, till the Nexus 4(See our unboxing here) a 7 inch tablet made by ASUS, the Nexus 7, but we never got to see a 10 inch one. But then, amidst “Sandy”, Google launched the first 10 inch Nexus device – The Google Nexus 10, made by Samsung. And yes, we have got it in our hands already, after a terrible launch delay. Aakash 2 low-cost Tablet launched, UbiSlate 7Ci goes on sale

Aakash 2 ultra low-cost tablet, successor of Aaksash tablet was launched by the President of India , Pranab Mukherjee and the Human Resources & Development (HRD) Minister, MM Pallam Raju. It comes at a price tag of Rs. 1,130 for students, while the commercial version, UbiSlate 7Ci is available for purchase at Rs. 4,499. DataWind would supply 100,000 units of Aakash 2 to IIT Bombay and also aims to distribute them to Engineering colleges and universities. It comes with upgraded specifications including a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor and has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 32GB expandable memory and a front-facing camera.
