Byond Tech has launched Mi-book Mi1 their new Android tablet. This has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor and has a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It has 3D video and gaming support and comes with free 3D goggles in the box. Zen Mobiles launches UltraTab A900 with 9-inch display, Android 4.0 for Rs. 7999

Zen Mobiles has launched the UltraTab A900, successor of the UltraTab A100 that was launched in July. The UltraTab A900 has a 9-inch capacitive multi-touch display. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) similar to the UltraTab A100. It is sleek and has marble finish. It has 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and has support for Adobe Flash. It has Live Panel menu that lets users to customize the home screen content with images, bookmarks, social feeds and a application tray in the home screen with shortcuts to launch task manager, calendar, music player and more. Karbonn launches AGNEE 3G tablet running Android 4.0

Karbonn Mobiles and Innominds has launched AGNEE tablet with 3G support running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) at the Innovation Qualcomm India 2012 event. It is based on QTI Reference Design (QRD) that is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) multi-touch display and has a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling. Innominds has designed and developed the tablet for Karbonn. It has preloaded educational applications, education-based content and services that provides a collaborative learning experience for students. It would also have support for voice calling. Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS703C their new tablet with built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. Micromax Funbook Talk with Voice calling launched for Rs. 7249

Micromax has launched the Funbook Talk (P350), their new 7-inch tablet in the Funbook series. This tablet has a ear piece for voice calling and has 2G (GPRS) connectivity. Barnes and Noble takes on the Amazon Kindle Fire with Nook HD and Nook HD+

Barnes and Nobles was recently in the lime light for making a partnership deal with Microsoft with respect to the “Nook” category of devices the book giant produces. We were wary of what the outcome might be, but in an obvious move, they are trying to battle their competitors again, with the announcement of the new Nooks, name the Nook HD and the Nook HD+. Samsung Galaxy Note 800 Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 800 (Note 10.1). It was originally announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year, but Samsung upgraded its specs when it launched. It launched in India in August. It packs in a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) TFT display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos processor and runs on Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) with the TouchWiz UI on top. Winknet has launched 2 new tablets, Ultimate (TWY300) and Wonder (TWY100) in India. The Winknet Ultimate has a 9.7-inch capacitive touch screen display and the Winknet Wonder comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display. Datawind, the company behind the low-cost Aakash tablets has launched 4 new 7-inch tablets, UbiSlate 7Ri, UbiSlate 7R+, UbiSlate 7Ci an d UbiSlate 7C+. These tablets come with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display and run on Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). These are powered by Cortex A8, 1 GHz processor and has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and a front-facing camera. Some models also have GPRS data support. Amazon Kindle Fire gets a Price Cut , Improved Specs

Amazon has cut the price of the Kindle Fire to $159 from $199. It also comes with upgraded specs including a 1.2 GHz OMAP4430 processor with 40% faster performance, 1GB of RAM and longer battery life of up to 8.5 hours. Other features remain the same as the original Kindle Fire from the previous year including a 7-inch (1024×600 pixels) IPS display, 8 GB of internal memory, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and Wi-Fi support. Amazon announces Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch Tablet for $299, 4G LTE at $499

Amazon has announced the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 along with their 7-inch Kindle Fire HD. This comes with a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) display with 254 ppi. It has a polarizing filter on the LCD panel for deep contrast and rich color and anti-glare technology, so that you can view it from any angle. It is powered by an 1.5 GHz Dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP processor and has SGX544 graphics engine. It runs on customized version of Android, but the version is not known yet. It has Dolby audio with dual stereo speakers, Dual-band WiFi with dual-antennas / MIMO for 40% faster throughput than other tablets. It also comes in 4G LTE version. Amazon announces Kindle Fire HD 7 inch tablet for $199

Amazon today updated it’s entire Kindle line up of products including e-Readers and tablets. It has announced the  Kindle Fire HD 7”. This 7 inch tablet comes with a HD display, improved Wi-Fi,  improved HD audio featuring Dolby Digital Plus and offers 16 or 32 GB of storage. The device is powered by a Dual-core 1.2 GHz processor from Texas Instruments. The software powering this tablet is a heavily customized version of Android but since the device is not certified by Google , users would not have access to popular Android features and Google services such as Gmail , Google Maps etc.

Google to announce a 3G Nexus 7 in October, right in time for the iPad mini

Google’s $200 Android tablet, the Nexus 7, is a sweet little device that’s attracted a ton of press because of everything it can do for half the price of the iPad 2. Most folks get the $250 model with 16 GB of internal memory, but still, the $200 8 GB model can handle most people’s needs just fine. There’s a slight problem though. The Nexus 7 isn’t very useful if you try to use it outside your home since it can only connect to WiFi networks. If you live in a part of the world where you can connect to an open WiFi hotspot with little to no effort, then congratulations. Not everyone is so lucky. According to Paul O’Brien from MoDaCo, he says that Google will start selling a 3G enabled Nexus 7 in roughly six weeks. To put it another way, mid October, which coincidentally is when we’re expecting Apple to announce a smaller iPad. Huawei has announced MediaPad 7 Lite, their new tablet in the MediaPad lineup. It has metal uni-body design and comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS mult-touch display. It is powered by a  1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and comes with a 3.2 MP rear camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera. It has 3G support with cellular voice function, SMS and MMS. Lenovo has launched IdeaTab S2110 at IFA 2012. It is an upgraded version of the IdeaTab S2109 that was announced in April. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) in-plane switching (IPS) display and is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060A Processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5 MP Auto focus camera LED flash at the back and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It is 8.69mm thick and weighs 580 grams.
