Samsung officially unveiled the Blue Arctic, Red Aurora, Purple Mirage, Brown Autumn and Pink Twilight color variants of the Galaxy S4 at the Samsung Premier 2013 last month. Now the Pink Twilight and Purple Mirage Samsung Galaxy S4 color variants have been officially launched in Taiwan. Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 initially in Black Mist and White Frost color variants and later announced that it would come in new color variants globally. BlackBerry OS 10.1 maintenance release starts rolling out

BlackBerry has started rolling out a new BlackBerry OS 10.1 maintenance release update for both the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 devices. The BlackBerry 10.1 update was announced back in May at the BlackBerry Live conference in Orlando that brought HDR Camera, Better BlackBerry Hub features Support for PIN to PIN messages, Fine Cursor Control and lots more. The BlackBerry 10.1 started rolling out soon after the announcement. Now the BlackBerry 10.1 maintenance update brings BlackBerry Hub enhancements, Imprvements to BlackBerry World, New BlackBerry Balance features and more. Sony Xperia Z Ultra launched in India for Rs. 46990

Sony has officially launched the Xperia Z Ultra, the company’s latest smartphones in the Xperia series. Sony unveiled the Z Ultra last month and it went on sale in India online last week. The Xperia Z Ultra has a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG reveals Quick Window accessory for the G2 ahead of launch

The LG G2 had been officially confirmed as the upcoming flagship phone from LG, but hasn’t seen a proper unveiling yet. But that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing an accessory called “Quick Window” for the phone, which is launching in New York on August 7th. The accessory, which works just like the Samsung S-View cover for the Galaxy S4, literally offers a quick window into some basic functions and lets you access some mini apps. Sporting various colours, as noted from the image above, the cover will presumably launch to retail along with the device itself.

Nokia’s upcoming “Treasure tag” Bluetooth accessory lets you find lost items with an app

Nokia is reportedly working on a range of Bluetooth 4.0 low power accessories, ever since they revealed that their phones will support the technology starting with the Amber update. One of them has been detailed by The Verge, citing sources familiar with this device. This accessory, called the “Treasure Tag” apparently is a small box that connects to the phone with Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, and once paired lets the phone track it using Bluetooth as well as GPS using a special app.

Lava is all set to release two new budget smartphones in the Iris range, the Iris 356 and the Iris 402. Both these smartphones are listed on the official website and packs decent specs for the price. The Iris 356 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) display and the the Iris 402 packs a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display. Both these devices are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). These have 3G support, Dual SIM with dual standby, rear and front-facing cameras. Samsung rumored to launch 12.2-inch and 10-inch tablets with 2560×1600 displays

Micromax Bling 3 A86 now available for Rs. 9599

Micromax Bing 3 A86 that surfaced last week is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Bling 3 is the 3rd phone in the Bling series Bling phone that was launched back in 2010 and Bling 2 A55 that was launched in 2011. The Bling 3 has Swarovski Zirconia crystals similar to the other Bling phones. It has 4-inch touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). MediaTek MT8135 quad-core chip with ARM big.LITTLE and PowerVR Series6 GPU announced

MediaTek has announced MT8135 quad-core chip based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture and PowerVR Series 6 GPU. Samsung announced the Exynos 5410 Octa-core chip at CES 2013 earlier this year that uses 4 ARM Cortex A15 chips and four Cortex A7 chips. Samsung even released an upgraded octa-core chip Exynos 5420 with ARM Mail T628 GPU last week. The MediaTek MT8135 uses two high-performance Cortex A15 clocked at 1.7 GHz and two ultra-efficient Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. It also has the latest PowerVR Series 6 G6200 GPU. Saavan, global music service announced their premium music service, Saavn Pro with offline and ad-free music listening back in February. The iPhone and iPad app got updated with Saavn Pro and new UI back in March, the Android app got updated earlier this month with Saavn Pro and New UI. This brings ad-free listening, offline downloads, improved audio quality and lots more. Unlike many other subscription services, users can opt-in to Saavn Pro directly on their mobiles.
