Opera has announced that Moore Frères, an investment holding company has acquired a majority, controlling stake in Opera TV. If you don’t know, Opera TV is an independent developer of cloud and embedded software that enables the TV and media industry’s transition to over-the-top (OTT) content, whereby video can be streamed directly to consumers’ living rooms via the Internet, to devices such as Smart TVs, Blu-ray disc players, set-top boxes and video game consoles. Airtel has launched 4G LTE services in Assam starting with Dibrugarh & Tinsukia. 4G will be offered using 2300 MHz (TD LTE) band and is available through mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles in these towns. Facebook has officially launched group video calling for Messenger on Android, iOS and desktop. Up to 50 people can participate at a time in an ongoing video call while only up to six people can be seen at a time.
