Google to address Pixel 2 XL screen and Pixel 2 clicking noise issues with software updates

Google extends warranty for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL to two years worldwide

After confirming that it is actively investigating reports of screen burn-in issue of the Pixel 2 XL, Google today has announced that both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL come with a two-year warranty at no extra cost. Users who have already purchase the Pixel 2 or the Pixel 2 XL will also be eligible for the two-year warranty.

India’s smartphone shipments cross 40 million in Q3 2017, becomes second largest smartphone market: Canalys

After a slight downfall in the Q2 2017,  smartphone market in India has recovered quickly with shipments growing 23% year on year in Q3 2017. A total of 40 million units were sold in India just in Q3 2017 and for the first time, India has overtaken the U.S. to become the second largest second largest smartphone market after China, according to the latest report from Canalys.

Today it has listed the phone on its official OPPO Shop that shows its unibody metal design in a range of images. The company has also confirmed 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras with f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with A.I. Beauty Recognition technology, similar to the OPPO F5 to recognize skin tone and type, the gender and age of all subjects within an image and analyze environment lighting conditions.

LG profits up 82%, mobile revenue up 8% YoY in Q3 2017

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.22 trillion won (US$ 13.44 billion) in the third quarter that ended September 30, 2017, which is up 15.12% compared to the same quarter last year. This is due to strong sales in home entertainment and appliances sector despite the gloomy business environment resulting from increasing international trade concerns, said LG. It has reported operating income of 516.1 billion won (US$ 455.7 million), up 82.26% for the same quarter in 2016, as it had reported in preliminary results.
