Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India back in August last year. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Obi Worldphone today announced a Rs. 1400 price cut for the SF1 smartphone ahead of Valentine’s Day. The smartphone was launched in India last year and went on sale on Amazon.in last month. It packs a 5-inch 1080p display from JDI, which is slightly raised giving a floating feel, comes with 4G LTE connectivity, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Lava A88, A71 and X11 budget 4G smartphones launched starting at Rs. 5499

Lava International has launched A88, A71 and X11 three new 4G smartphones. The Lava A71 went on sale online earlier this week. The Lava A88 has a 5-inch FWVGA screen, while the A71 and X11 smartphones have a 5-inch HD display with  Corning Gorilla Glass protection. All these phones run on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), but Lava is promising upgrade to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) for A71 and A88. These smartphones come with dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity with both TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India.

Intex has launched FitRist, the company’s first fitness smart band, few months after launching its iRist smartwatch. The FitRist tracker has a 0.86-inch OLED display, uses Bluetooth to pair with Android or iPhone, lets you track steps, distance traveled, calories burnt and monitor quality of sleep. It also offers notifications for incoming calls, control music and use it as a remote shutter for the phone’s camera. Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Bengaluru, as it announced yesterday, after launching it in Kerala, MysoreKolkataDelhi & NCR and Mumbai. It will first roll out in business and residential corridors such as Jayanagar, Basavangudi, JP Nagar, Electronic City, Bangalore International Airport, Whitefield, BTM. Facebook officially withdraws Free Basics from India

Facebook has finally pulled the plug on its Free Basics service in India. The move comes from the social network only days after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) favoured Net Neutrality and banned differential pricing. Differential pricing means charging customers different prices for access to different websites and services.

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Mumbai, as it had promised last week, after launching it in n Kerala, MysoreKolkata and Delhi & NCR. Vodafone said that it will be rolled out in key business & residential corridors of Mumbai across Western suburbs & South Mumbai in a phased manner, and the roll-out will be completed across all parts of Mumbai including Eastern suburbs & New Mumbai license areas by the end of March 2016.
