Airtel has once again partnered with Celkon to launch Celkon Star 4G+, a budget VoLTE phone at an effective price of Rs. 1249, after launching the Celkon Smart 4G back in October. It is part of Airtel’s Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone initiative under which the operator will partner with multiple mobile manufacturers in an aim to create an ‘open ecosystem’ of affordable 4G smartphones and bring them to market for virtually the price of a feature phone. Google introduced the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones in India at a starting price of Rs. 61,000 and Rs. 73,000, respectively. During its sale earlier this month Flipkart offered the Pixel 2 for as low as Rs. 39,999 by offering Rs.11,001 flat discount and Rs. 10,000 on all debit and credit cards.
