UIDAI says it has not asked telcos to save toll-free number in phonebooks
Several Android and some iOS users in India are reporting about the sudden Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) toll-free helpline number being saved in their contacts by default. UIDAI has replaced the helpline number with new 1800-300-1947 that got into people’s phonebooks without their consent. Jio Payments Bank is a 70:30 JV between RIL and SBI, today Jio and SBI have signed MoU to deepen digital partnership, in aim to increase SBI’s digital customer base multi-fold. SBI YONO is a omni channel platform offering digital banking, commerce and financial superstore services to customers. YONO’s digital banking features and solutions will be enabled through the MyJio platform for a seamless, integrated and superior customer experience. MyJio will now bring in financial services capabilities of SBI and Jio Payments Bank.

Both the phones have a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, run Android 8.1 (Oreo) with secured DTEK app and feature a 16-megapixel front camera. The Evolve is powered by Snapdragon 450 with 4GB of RAM and dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, while the EvolveX is powered by Snapdragon 660 with 6GB of RAM, and has a 12-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 13-megapixel camera with real-time depth of field effect for portrait shots. A year after Amazon Prime Video released Baahubali: The Lost Legends, an animated series in India, Netflix today announced a new Netflix original series – Baahubali: Before the Beginning, a prequel to Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion movies. This will be based on Anand Neelakantan’s book, The Rise of Sivagami, and the first season will have 9 episodes, and Netflix has ordered two seasons. Vietnam-based Mobiistar forayed into the Indian market with the XQ Dual and CQ selfie smartphones back in May. Today it has launched five new selfie smartphones – C1 Lite, C1, C2, E1 Selfie and X1 Dual in the country for the offline market. TRAI releases 4G and 5G spectrum recommendations, price for next auction
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) just released recommendations on Auction of Spectrum in 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2500 MHz, including 5G spectrum – 3300-3400 MHz and 3400-3600 MHz bands after the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) requested TRAI to provide applicable reserve price, quantum of spectrum to be auctioned and associated conditions for auction of spectrum.
