Fitbit, the popular fitness tracker and wearable maker made its foray into the smartwatch market by announcing its first Blaze smart fitness watch at CES 2016 in January this year. The company is known for making quality fitness trackers and hence we were curious to see what it brings to the table with its “fitness watch”. The Fitbit Blaze was launched in India in March this year for a price of Rs. 19,999. Does the company manage to offer the perfect blend of a smartwatch plus a fitness tracker with Blaze? Samsung has announced Gear Fit2, the company’s latest fitness tracker and the successor of the first Gear Fit that was introduced back in 2014. This has a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED screen, runs Tizen OS and automatically tracks 15 different fitness activities such as walking, squatting, yoga, treadmill and more. It also has a standalone music player that lets you transfer music between the Gear Fit2 and your smartphone with the Samsung Gear application. Xiaomi just announced Mi Band 2, the company’s latest fitness and sleep tracker in the Mi Band lineup. The main change compared to the Mi Band and the Mi Band Pulse is the 0.42-inch OLED display that shows time, steps and also heart rate when you tap the button below the display.
