Ola S1 Air unveiled — 85kmph top speed, up to 101KM range

After starting pre-reservations for the Ola S1 in August, Ola Electric has introduced the Ola S1 Air, the company’s latest entry-level electric scooter. This has the same design as the S1, but comes with a smaller 2.5kWh battery with Indian Drive Cycle (IDC) range of 101 KM, true range of 100 KM in Eco Mode, and has normal and sports mode. Ather now has 580 fast charging grids across India

Ather Energy has announced that it has installed the 580th public fast charging point, the Ather Grid, across 56 cities in India. The company plans to install 820 more grids, taking the count to 1400 by the end of FY23. Ather said that its fast charging Grids have been strategically installed across markets, with 60% of current installations in tier-II and tier-III cities. Hero MotoCorp today launched its Vida V1 series electric scooters in India. These come in Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro models that offer 3.44kWh and 3.94 kWh removable batteries, promising 143 km and 165 km IDC range, respectively. Ather Energy opens its first retail store in Kolkata

Ather Energy this week opened its first own Ather Space in Kolkata. The Ather Space will sell the recently introduced Ather 450X Gen 3 and the Ather 450 Plus Gen 3. It is Ather Energy’s second Experience Center in the state after Siliguri, which was opened in association with SRIRS E-Ventures in October last year. Ather 450X Gen 3 with longer range, new features launched

Ather just introduced a new 450x smart electric scooter in an online event. It comes with a range of 105 km with new 21700 battery compared to 85km in the older model, thanks to 3.7kWh battery.  It comes with performance 100/80-12″ tyres from MRF as a standard that promises 22% better grip in turns and better braking. Ather Energy announces second manufacturing plant in Hosur, plans for total annual production capacity of 4 lakh units

Ather Energy, makers of 450, 450 Plus and 450X electric scooter, has announced its second electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The factory is capable of annual production of 280,000 electric scooters, so it will have cumulative annual production capacity of 400,000 units, including the current production capacity of 120,000 units in its first plant which is spread over 1,23,000 sq. ft. Simple One Electric Scooter with 105km top speed, up to 236KM range, removable battery pack launched in India for Rs. 1.10 lakh

Simple Energy, a new start up, has launched the Simple One, the company’s first electric scooter in India.  It has a patented PMSM motor with up to 4.5 KW nominal power and 72NM peak torque that can go from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.95 seconds and has a top speed of 105kmph with 100/80-12F & (with 110/80-12) R tyres and 98Kmph with 90/90-12 F&R tyres. There are Four modes – Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. The scooter has IP67 ratings for the whole scooter, battery pack and the display and a gradability of 20°.
