TP-Link Neffos N1 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Dual rear cameras announced

TP-Link’s Neffos brand has introduced Neffos N1 , the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘N series’. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android  7.1 (Nougat), has 12-megapixel (monochrome + RGB) dual rear cameras, PDAF for portrait shots a and an 8-megapixel front camera.

Google Lens coming to more Android and iOS devices [Update: Now rolling out to iOS devices in Google Photos]

Update 2: As promised, Google has started rolling out the Lens feature through Google Photos for iOS devices as well. You just need to update the app to version 3.15.0 via the App Store. It is rolling out in batches from today and will reach everyone by next week.

Huawei Nova 2 lite with 5.99-inch FullView display, dual rear cameras, Android 8.0 announced

Huawei recently introduced Nova 2 lite, a budget version of the Nova 2 in Philippines and Singapore, now the phone is up for pre-order. It has similar specifications of the Honor 7C that was introduced in China earlier this week, including a 5.99-inch HD+ screen, Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots with bokeh effect, but this is powered by Snapdragon 430 instead of Snapdragon 450. You can now talk to Google Assistant in Hindi on Android, coming to iPhone soon

Google introduced Hindi support for Google Allo over a year back and Google Assistant for JioPhone that was introduced a few months back comes with support for both English and Hindi. Earlier this year Google silently introduced Hindi support in Google Assistant on Android  smartphones in India for few selected Hindi queries. Today it has officially rolled out the feature for all users on Android phones 6.0+ (Marshmallow and above) and it will soon be available to Android 5.0 Lollipop, iPhones as well as Android Oreo (Go edition) devices.

Last week, we reported that newly launched Redmi Note 5 Pro had Low Volume output via Headphones issue, and Xiaomi quickly addressed the issue and rolled out MIUI 9.2.5.0 and updated security patch to February as well. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro low headphone volume issue fix starts rolling out

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India on 14th February, and released the OTA for enabling face unlock in last week of February. Earlier this week we came across posts on Mi Community in which users reported the Low sound output from headphones issue for the newly launched Redmi Note 5 Pro. Xiaomi has surpassed Samsung in the largest smartphone market in India in the Q4 2017 to become the number one brand, according to a report from Cybermedia Research. Xiaomi outshined Samsung in Maharashtra which alone amounted to 13.7% of the sales during the last quarter of 2017. According to CMR, Xiaomi sold over 31.2% of the Smartphones during the period compared to Samsung which sold 15.3%.
