ZTE’s nubia brand just announced nubia V18, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the new ‘V series’, as it had promised. It has a 6.01-inch FHD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by Snapdragon 625 with 4GB RAM, runs Android 7.1 (Nougat) with Nubia UI 5.1, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF for fast focus in 0.1 seconds and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with beautify and support face unlock that can unlock the phone in seconds by scanning 106 facial recognition points. MIUI 9.5 Stable ROM – List of Xiaomi devices getting it with schedule

Xiaomi started rolling out  MIUI 9.5 Stable ROM for the Redmi Note 4 last week, later some users reported the update rolling out for Redmi 3S. Yesterday Xiaomi confirmed that it is rolling out the update to Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 3, Mi Max/Prime and Redmi 3S/Prime in phases. Today the company has confirmed that list of devices that will get the MIUI 9.5 update along with the roll out time-frame. itel mobiles today launched the itel S42 and itel A44 smartphones with a full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Apart from these two phones, the company announced the itel A44 Pro. Lenovo K5 and K5 Play with 5.7-inch full-screen display, dual rear cameras, fingerprint sensor announced

Along with the S5, Lenovo also introduced K5 and K5 Play, budget smartphones in the ‘K Series’ in China. Both these have a 5.7-inch HD+ full-screen display, dual rear cameras, glass back, fingerprint sensor on the back and a 3000mAh battery. The K5 is powered by MediaTek MT6750 SoC and the K5 Play is powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC. Google Play Instant lets you tap and play games without installing them

Google today introduced ‘Google Play Instant’ that lets you play games without having to install them on your device. The company introduced Instant Apps back in 2016. You can just tap and try a game without having to download it first. Clash Royale, Words with Friends 2, and Bubble Witch 3 Saga, and other titles from Playtika, MZ, Jam City, and Hothead Games are first batch games that are available right away. TP-Link’s Neffos brand has introduced Neffos N1 , the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘N series’. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android  7.1 (Nougat), has 12-megapixel (monochrome + RGB) dual rear cameras, PDAF for portrait shots a and an 8-megapixel front camera.

Google Lens coming to more Android and iOS devices [Update: Now rolling out to iOS devices in Google Photos]

Update 2: As promised, Google has started rolling out the Lens feature through Google Photos for iOS devices as well. You just need to update the app to version 3.15.0 via the App Store. It is rolling out in batches from today and will reach everyone by next week.

Huawei Nova 2 lite with 5.99-inch FullView display, dual rear cameras, Android 8.0 announced

Huawei recently introduced Nova 2 lite, a budget version of the Nova 2 in Philippines and Singapore, now the phone is up for pre-order. It has similar specifications of the Honor 7C that was introduced in China earlier this week, including a 5.99-inch HD+ screen, Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots with bokeh effect, but this is powered by Snapdragon 430 instead of Snapdragon 450.
