Xolo is one among them and it is the first company to produce an Intel chip powered smartphone. Firefox OS was targeted at the lower end smartphone segment, but it hasn’t really made an impact yet as no phones running on Firefox OS has been launched in India. As Mozilla mentioned, the Firefox OS is based on Open Web Standards and any web app can be wrapped into a Firefox App with just a few lines of code.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S series at an event in New York. We got some hands on time with the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 at the event. The tablet has a stunning 8.4-inch (2560×1600 pixel) WQXGA Super AMOLED display at a pixel density of 359 ppi. The display is sharp and it offers 90% of Adobe RGB color coverage for accurate color output.It comes in Octa-Core Exynos and Snapdragon 800 variants depending on the WiFi and LTE models. Celkon has launched Campus A35K, the company’s latest budget smartphone and the cheapest smartphone running on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It has a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The new version brings up a major redesign to the app. You can now swipe to pick the content you want to annotate, easily preview different tabs that you want to markup, faster annotation and just swipe to share. Micromax launched the Unite 2, the company’s latest budget smartphone running on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash. It has a 4.7-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU and packs 1GB of RAM. It also comes with 3G connectivity, dual SIM support and a removable 2000 mAh battery.
Facebook is adding more power to Messenger with updates and features. Today, the social network has rolled out instant video messaging feature that will enable users to send 15 second videos within the app. Currently, the video messaging feature has launched to the Facebook Messenger’s iOS app and it will soon land on Android as well.

Apple is about to make the Smart Cover on iPad even smarter. The company has filed for a patent that will show notifications on the on the Smart Cover itself. This will enable users to check their notification like email, SMS and other alerts without opening the screen.

These have 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch Super AMOLED displays at high WQXGA resolution and similar internals with Exynos 5 Octa or Snapdragon 800 Processors. These run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and have Adaptive Display that automatically adjusts gamma, saturation, and sharpness based on the application being viewed, the color temperature of the viewing environment and ambient lighting. LG G Pro 2 is the successor of the LG G Pro and is LG’s answer to Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The LG G Pro 2 is a worthy competitor to the Galaxy Note 3 and a healthy successor to the original G Pro, but retains too much of G Pro in it to be the device to beat this summer. Lava Iris 350M, a new entry-level smartphone in the Iris series is now available from online retailer HomeShop18. The Iris 402e, another entry-level smartphone has appeared on the official website. The Iris 350M has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen and the Iris 402e comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen based on OGS technology. Both these are powered by 1GHz processor and run on Android 4.2. (Jelly Bean).
