Intex has launched Aqua 5.5 VR+, successor of last year’s Aqua 5.5 VR that comes with free VR headset. It has a 5.5-inch HD display, 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash and a 2800mAh battery, similar to the predecessor, but this has 2GB RAM, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash. Apple unveiled the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus smartphones few hours back. Apple India already said that the new iPhone 8 series will be available in several countries, including India in the second batch starting from September 29th. Now Redington India has announced that the phones will be available for pre-order across 3000 retail outlets in the country, beginning September 22nd, Friday. Huawei unveiled the Watch 2 series that includes Huawei Watch 2, Watch 2 Classic and Watch 2 4G at at MWC 2017 earlier this year. Today the company has launched it in India. The Watch 2 features a sportier’ look with rubber bands and there is also a 4G version of it that comes with cellular connectivity that allows users to make and receive phone calls using SIM card.
Apple announced the pricing for its latest iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X models in India, it has also officially reduced the price of iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus phones in the country and has removed the 256GB iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models. Apple just introduced the iPhone X, its flagship iPhone with several new features at an event. It said that the phone will be available for pre-order from October 27 in more than 55 countries and territories starting at US$ 999 (Rs. 63940 approx.). It has also announced that it will be priced in India starting at Rs. 89000 for the 64GB version, and the price of 256GB version is Rs. 1,02,000. OPPO today launched A71, the company’s latest smartphone in ‘A series’ in India. It has a 5.2-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor, runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS with ColorOS 3.1 on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/3.06-inch sensor and f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, but it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Last month Samsung started rolling out its Bixby Voice assistant globally. It packs a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Infinity Display and comes with 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture and telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom and OIS for both. It has Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor as well as heart rate monitor, similar to the predecessor and is also water resistant up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes with IP68 ratings. BlackBerry introduced Priv as the company’s first Android smartphone with a slide-out Keyboard back in October 2015 running Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and it was launched in India in January last year at a hefty price tag.
