Micromax launched the Canvas Turbo A250, the company’s first smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p display last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of it. The phone has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) IPS display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Lenovo launched the P780, successor of the P770 back in June. We got the device with a 4000 mAh battery for unboxing. The phone has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capactive touch screen IPS display and has a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor, better than its predecessor. Hugh Jackman was a huge score for the company as it plans to push its limits beyond the Indian borders. Announced in October for a price of Rs. 19,990, the phones marquee features are its full HD display, its quad core 1.5 GHz MediaTek MTK6589T processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM. With quick successions to the flagship range, how does the Canvas Turbo differ from the Canvas 4 and the Canvas HD? iBall Andi 4Di+, successor of the Andri 4Di that was launched back in July has surfaced on the official website. It has a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other iBall Andi smartphones and packs a 1700 mAh battery. It has Flip to Mute and Auto Call Recording features.

Lava Iris 503 and Iris 352e, two new Android smartphones in the Iris series are available from online retailer Flipkart. The Iris 503 is the successor of the Iris 502 that went on sale earlier this year. It packs a 5.0-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, while the entry-level 2G smartphone, Iris 352e comes with a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. The Apple iPhone 5S and the 5C launched in India on Friday, November 1st, even Airtel launched these devices as the company promised. It also revealed plans with free local minutes, local and national SMS and 3G data. These plans start at Rs. 300, which might vary based on the circle. The Apple iPhone 5S costs Rs.. 53,500, Rs. 62,500 and Rs. 71,500 for the 16, 32 and 64GB variants. These plans are almost similar to last year’s iPhone 5 plans.
Xolo has launched A600, a mid-range phone in the A Series. It appeared on the official website earlier this week along with the Q900 and packs a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572W processor with Mali 400MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Intex Aqua i7 is here and we are unboxing it for you. Launched way back in September, with a price tag of Rs. 21,900, the phone has been prominently featured in a lot of advertisements. The device had not hit the retail market at that time but the company has finally caught up and released it, and yes, we have received our unit too. Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C in India as they promised. We reported that the operator plans to launch these phones in India with attractive plans with a 2 year contract. Now the company has detailed those plans. The company has announced two new offers, Rs. 2,599 per month for the iPhone 5c and Rs 2,999 per month for the iPhone 5s with a 24 month contract. This include the handset cost, unlimited local and STD calls, SMS’, national roaming and 3G data. This makes RCOM the first company to launch the iPhone with no down payment plans.
Citibank offered 10% cash back on iPad mini back in May, now it offers 10% cash back on the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C that is launching in India today. This limited period Diwali offer is available in India only today, November 1st and is applicable for users who purchase these iPhones with Citibank credit cards at the launch locations in select cities. Citibank says that Cashback is limited to 10% of the MRP of the product purchased and capped at Rs. 12000 per card for transactions. The just announced Google Nexus 5 has been spotted on the Indian Play Store, with it listed as “coming soon” to India along with the price tags of Rs. 28,999 for the 16GB version and Rs. 32,999 for the 32 GB version. The Nexus 5 was just announced by LG and Google, but had leaked like a broken cauldron over the internet for the past few weeks and even months. The phone has a 5 inch full HD IPS screen with LG’s own in-cell touch technology and is powered by the blazing fast Snapdragon 800 processor, among many other hardware features. It also runs on the latest version of Android – 4.4 KitKat which has been spruced up with new user interface changes, a changed dialer, and a lot more under the hood for developers to take advantage of. Now that the phone has been announced, we think it might not take long to arrive in India as the listing has already shown up on the Indian Play Store.

Huawei has set a target of selling 60 million smartphones worldwide, this year. The ICT solutions giant has spent only two years in the smartphone business, yet earned itself the title of ‘fourth largest smartphone maker in the world’, beating Nokia & Blackberry, earlier this year. India, being an important market for any growing mobile manufacturer has seen few and delayed handset launches by Huawei.
