YU has finally launched its JYUICE power banks. It comes in 5000mAh and 10000mAh capacities. These have Aluminium Alloy body that prevents the power banks for corrosion or rusting and have round edges for a better grip. YU has officially launched YUNIQUE, the company’s latest budget smartphone, after the registration page went live early. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display at 312 ppi, is powered by a Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and runs on stock Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It doesn’t run on Cyanogen OS out of the box like other YU smartphones, but you can upgrade to Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) by heading to YU service centres for free, flashable ROM will be available in future. YU is all set to launch its new affordable YU branded smartphone at an event later today. Now the registration page of the smartphone has gone live on Snapdeal before the launch. This confirms the name of the smartphone as YUNIQUE and its specifications. It will have a 4.7-inch HD screen, slightly smaller than YUPHORIA’s 5-inch screen, will come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, instead of 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on the YUPHORIA. Yu launched the YUREKA Plus, an upgraded version of the YUREKA smartphone last month, which got a permanent price cut to Rs. 8,999 earlier this month. One of the major improvements in the YUREKA Plus is the smartphone’s 13-megapixel camera, which uses Sony IMX214 sensor, compared to Sony IMX135 sensor in the YUREKA. It has the same 5-megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision 5648 sensor, 4P lenses and 71-degree wide viewing angle as seen in the YUREKA.
YU is all set to launch its first power bank soon. According to import details from Zauba, YU has imported 5000 units of its 10000mAh power bank codenamed YUAPB1000 from China to India on August 19th. Micromax announced the original YU YUREKA at the end of last year as the first phone in its YU range of smartphones that are powered by CyanogenMod OS. Earlier this year in May, Micromax also announced the YU YUPHORIA which was a model that was priced below the YUREKA.
