Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Update for the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, and Redmi 9 Prime in India. Redmi 9 Prime’s POCO counterpart POCO M2 is also receiving the same update in India. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update also brings November 2021 Android security patch to Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime, and POCO M2. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Smart Balance, and also lets users Uninstall most of the system apps.
After teasers, Xiaomi has introduced its 27-inch 4K professional IPS display with PANTONE authoritative certification, 99% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color gamut, ΔE<1 and has a key P to easily switch color gamut, depending on the content creation such as CG design, CAD and darkroom mode. Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the 8GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi Note 10S that joins the 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB launched back in May starting at Rs. 14999. This model is priced at Rs. 18,499, and will go on sale from Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and retail stores starting tomorrow, December 3rd. At the Snapdragon Tech Summit, Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform. It also announced that Black Shark, HONOR, iQOO, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Redmi, SHARP, Sony, vivo, iQOO, Xiaomi, and ZTE will roll out commercial devices starting from this December 2021. Redmi just launched the Redmi Note 11T 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone and the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 10T 5G, as it had announced. It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with 50Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz variable refresh rate, has a 16MP front camera inside the punch-hole, is powered by Dimensity 810 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM with 3GB of extended memory, has a 50MP rear camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Xiaomi has announced its earning for the third quarter (Q3 2021) that ended September 30, 2021, in which it reported a revenue of 78.1 billion yuan (US$ 12.2 billion), an increase of 8.2% compared to Q3 2020. Redmi India has partnered with Reliance Jio to conduct 5G trials for its Redmi Note 11T 5G smartphone ahead of launch on November 30th. The companies said that they have conducted a 5G standalone lab trial, and tested the device through various scenarios, thereby ensuring enhanced 5G end-user experiences. Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in the country a couple of months ago running MIUI 11.0 Global Stable on top of Android 10. Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once in a month.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil its Mi 12 series of handsets in the coming months. To recall, the brand had launched its flagship Mi 11 back in December 2020 which was followed by Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra launch in March 2021. This time the brand is said to launch multiple products under the Xiaomi 12 series, including the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Ultra, Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced, and a compact handset with codename Psyche.
Update: Xiaomi has also confirmed that POCO F1 will not get the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update. It didn’t get the MIUI 12.5 update as well. Xiaomi today confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 11T 5G smartphone in India on November 30. This will be the successor to the Redmi Note 10T 5G which was launched in the country back in July. The invite just says ‘Next Gen Racer’ without revealing any other details, but earlier rumours revealed that it will be the same Redmi Note 11 5G which was launched in China last month. The company is selling some soundbars in China, and it launched the Mi Soundbar in India back in 2019, but this will be the first soundbar for the global markets.
