Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage listed on Amazon India
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 2 smartphone in India earlier this year, which recently got a price cut to Rs. 5,999. At the launch the company said that it is planning to bring the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version of the smartphone to India. Now the top-end version of the Redmi 2 has been listed on Amazon.in as Redmi 2 Prime without a price tag.

Xiaomi MIUI 7 announcement set for August 13
Xiaomi has announced an event on August 13th to introduce MIUI 7, its next MIUI ROM. The MIUI 6 was introduced back in August last year that brought a flat user interface and new features. Even though early versions of MIUI 6 were based on Android KitKat, the latest smartphones such as Mi 4i are running on MIUI 6 ROM based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop).

Xiaomi has started rolling out global stable MIUI 6 update for the Redmi Note 3G smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 1S got the MIUI 6 update earlier this month. The company introduced MIUI 6, a major upgrade to MIUI ROM last year, but only few Mi devices run on the stable MIUI 6 ROM. The Redmi Note was launched in India back in July last year running on MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB gets a permanent price cut, now available for Rs. 17999
Xiaomi sold the Mi 4 64GB variant at Rs. 17,999 for a day on Flipkart as a part of their Mi Anniversary. Today the company has announced that the price cut is permanent. This is the third permanent price cut for the smartphone since its launch. It was launched at a price tag of Rs. 23,99, received a price cut to Rs. 21,999 back in April and received its second price cut to Rs. 19,999 last month. Lenovo K3 Note vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G – What’s Different?
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G can brag about being one of the first cheap phablets on the Indian market to come out with 4G support. It was announced in November last year and made available at the end of December for a price of Rs 9,999. Since then, Xiaomi has seen good success with it as many people have purchased the smartphone for its features as well as its 4G capability at a low price. Since then, many manufacturers have tried to follow the same mantra and launched their own devices at similar prices and packing similar features. The price of the Redmi Note 4G has been reduced to Rs 7,999 last month but since then Lenovo has hit the market with the K3 Note which also retails at a price of Rs 9,999 which was the original asking rate for the Redmi Note 4G.
