Xiaomi just announced Mi 5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in China, as it promised. It has a 5.15-inch 1080p curved glass display, is powered by a Quad-Core Snadpragon 820 processor and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with two-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus, DTI pixel isolation technology, Spectra image processor, 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS), 4K video recording and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera with pixel size of 2 microns. Xiaomi just announced Mi 4S, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mi 4 series at an event in China. It has a 5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snadpragon 808 processor and runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with two-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi has finally announced that its Redmi Note 3 Pro smartphone will launch in India as Redmi Note 3 on March 3rd, at an event in Delhi. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, comes with a metal body, has a fingerprint sensor on the back, is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 (Snapdragon 618 previously) processor and a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second. We have already seen several leaks of the Xiaomi Mi 5 since over past few days. Now a new leak is giving out more information about the specifications of the upcoming flagship phone from the Chinese smartphone maker which is scheduled to be unveiled on February 24.

Xiaomi launched its Mi Band in India back in April last year for Rs. 999, later in November it launched the White LED edition with only White LED light, compared to multicolored LED lights in the original version for Rs. 799. Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut for the Redmi Note Prime smartphone, which is now available for Rs. 7,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 8,499. As a part of Mi Week on Amazon.in starting today, 16th February till 19th February, both the Mi 4 and the Mi 4i have received a Rs. 2,000 price cut for a limited period. LG usually introduces official case for their upcoming flagships every year, this time Xiaomi has teased (Via) a clear protective case for its upcoming flagship Mi 5 smartphone. Xiaomi says that the case will be just 0.45mm thick. It also reveals that the camera will be present on the left corner, the USB Type-C port will be present on the bottom with dual speakers. Xiaomi and Meizu, two popular Chinese smartphone brands are entering the US market. Both the companies have partnered with US Mobile to bring some of their devices to the country. US Mobile is a prepaid carrier that uses T-Mobile’s network for service.

Chinese smartphone shipments grew 3 percent annually to hit a record 438 million units in 2015, according to the latest report from Strategy Analytics. Xiaomi maintained the top spot by shipping 17.5 million smartphones and captured 15 percent market share in China in Q4 2015, up 11 percent annually.
A new screenshot has surfaced online which is said to be of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone. The screenshot reveals that the device will have a DualSIM slot as well as NFC capability.
