Samsung today launched Gear 360, its first 360 degree virtual reality camera in Korea, as it had promised at the Developer Conference earlier this week in San Francisco. It was announced that the MWC 2016 earlier this year, comes with dual fish-eye lenses with 15 megapixel image sensors and can capture high-resolution (3840×1920) 360-degree video that also supports 30 megapixel still images. Worldwide smartphone shipment growth fell flat for first time and this is the smallest year-over-year growth on record. According to a report from IDC, vendors shipped a total of 334.9 million smartphones worldwide in the first quarter of 2016 (1Q16), up slightly from the 334.3 million units in 1Q15.

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q1 2016, in which the company has made operating profit of 6.68 trillion won ($5.81 billion) for the quarter that ended March 31, 2016, which is up 12% YoY. It reported revenues of 49.78 trillion won ($43.46 billion), up 5.7% year-on-year and net profit of 5.25 trillion won (US$ 2.7 billion), up 14% year-on-year. Samsung Galaxy Note6 rumors have started surfacing months ahead of the official announcement. Earlier reports suggested that the Note6 will be waterproof, similar to Galaxy S7 series, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 SoC and come with a iris scanner, in addition to a fingerprint sensor. Now the C5 (SM-C5000) has surfaced in GFXBench that reveals most of the specifications that are almost similar to the Galaxy C7.
