Samsung reports record profits in Q4 2017, up 64% YoY, expects strong Galaxy S9 sales

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q4 2017, in which the company has made operating profit of 15.15 trillion won ($14.13 billion), up 64.3% YoY for the quarter that ended December 31, 2017. This is a new all-time high quarterly profit, due to strong sales of memory products for servers and mobile storage as well as OLED panels for premium smartphones. Last week first renders of the upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus smartphones surfaced online. Now new renders of the smartphones have surfaced showing the back with rear camera with fingerprint sensor below them along with branding, thanks to dBrand who has already started taking pre-orders for the skins for the phones.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, the company’s next flagship smartphones in the ‘Galaxy S’ series have finally surfaced in press image ahead of official announcement at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona next month, thanks to @evleaks. Only the front part of the smartphones have been revealed, which look similar to the S8 series with Infinity display, minimal bezels and a bunch of sensors on the top.
