Realme has started teasing the launch of new entertainment-focused smartphone in India exclusively on Flipkart. The teaser image shows a smartphone with a notch, similar to the Realme C1, and hints at huge storage to store videos such as TV series, best gaming experience and more.
Realme launched its Realme U1 smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 11,999. It went on sale exclusively on Amazon.in starting December 5th. Today, the company has announced that the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version will go on open sale starting from next Monday, December 17th. The next sale for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is scheduled for December 19th at 12 noon.
As promised recently, Realme has started rolling out ColorOS 5.2 stable OTA update in India. This brings several new features single swipe notification dismiss, Headset icon in status bar, Smart Bar for faster multitasking, Game Space, Recorder, and lots more.
Realme, at the launch of Realme U1 smartphone also introduced the Realme Buds, the company’s first earphones. These have 11 mm audio drivers that promise 160% louder bass. The company says that it is the first wired headphones in India to use magnetic locking in the price range, so that it make carrying and tidying the earphones easy. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with Dewdrop notch and 90.5% screen to body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 12nm SoC with AI engine and GPU acceleration with gaming mode. It has up to 4GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) based on ColorOS 5.2, comes with a 13-megapixel raer camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots. Realme already confirmed that it will launch the Realme U1, world’s first smartphone powered by MediaTek Helio P70 12nm SoC exclusively on Amazon.in on November 28th. It already said that it will feature Dewdrop notch that was introduced with the Realme 2 Pro and said that it will come with most powerful selfie camera ever for capturing flawless selfies. Now the specifications of the smartphone has surfaced online.

It has a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch and 87.8% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 450 with 2GB of RAM and runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots and a 5-megapixel front camera.

OPPO’s Realme brand already teased the Realme 2 Pro smartphone in a video recently and also said that the phone will launch on September 27th exclusively on Flipkart. The company has also confirmed some of the specifications including Snapdragon 660 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and dual rear cameras with AI features, on its social channels. The phone will feature a Dewdrop Full Screen display with minimal bezels.
OPPO’s sub-brand Realme launched the Realme 2, the company’s second-generation smartphone in India last month. During the first sale the company said that it sold 200,000 or 2 lakh units of smartphones in just 5 minutes on Flipkart. In the second sale last week it said that it sold 170,000 or 1.7 lakh units with combined sales of 3.7 lakh units in first two sales.
Realme at the launch of the Realme 2 smartphone last month, confirmed that it will launch the Realme 2 Pro with better specifications in September. The company recently sent out invites for the launch of the phone on September 26th and 27th. Today it has posted a new teaser titled “Realme, Proud to be Young”. It also says that the phone will have Max Power and Max Style.
