Sony Mobile sales down 14.7% YoY in Q3 FY15, expects decrease in smartphone sales

Sony Corporation today reported its revenues for the third quarter of the financial year 2015 that ended December 31, 2015. Sales increased 0.5% year-on-year to 2,580.8 billion yen (US$  21,507 million) compared to the same quarter last year. Operating income increased 20.1 billion yen year-on-year to 202.1 billion yen (US$ 1,685 million). Sony shipped just 7.6 million smartphones in the quarter compared to 11.9 million in Q3 FY14. Google paid over $6 million for security researchers, over $2 million in 2015

Google has announced that it had paid over $6 million for security researchers through its Vulnerability Rewards Program since 2010. Last year it paid more than 300 different security researchers more than $200,000 for finding more than 750 bugs and vulnerabilities in Chrome and other Google Products, including largest single payment of $37,500 to an Android security researcher. Lenovo launched the Vibe X3, it’s flagship smartphone earlier this week at Rs. 19,999 exclusively on Amazon.in.. We already brought you the unboxing and photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit 20nm processor that has two bigger ARM Cortex A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz per core with 600 MHz Adreno 418 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM, 5.5-inch 1080p display and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with Vibe UI on top. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores.

Lenovo launched the Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India at Rs. 11,999 recently. We already brought you the unboxingteardownbenchmarks and the battery life test results, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone. As you might have seen in the teardown, the phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor with 1.12 um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash.
