OnePlus 6T confirmed to feature in-display fingerprint scanner

After the box of the OnePlus 6T, the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone surfaced revealing an in-display fingerprint sensor and a waterdrop notch, now in an e-mail to CNET the company confirmed that it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also said that it originally intended to introduce the technology on the OnePlus 5T, but it did not do since the technology wasn’t mature enough to meet the company’s standards for delivering a fast and smooth user experience, so it had to wait for an year. After certification in Russia recently with the model number A6013, OnePlus 6T box has surfaced in China. This reveals waterdrop notch on the front and an in-display fingerprint sensor, similar to the OPPO R17 / R17 Pro that were introduced in China last month.

OnePlus 6T gets certified in Russia ahead of launch later this year

OnePlus follows the trend of launching two flagships in a calendar year and since it already introduced one; the OnePlus 6, the company is seemingly getting ready for the second which could be named OnePlus 6T going by the history. OnePlus 5 and 5T OxygenOS 5.1.5 update brings Treble support, August Android security patch

OnePlus has released new OxygenOS 5.1.5 update for the OnePlus 5 and the 5T that finally brings support for Project Treble, after it was released in a beta update back in July. At that time it said that it has finally found a solution to bring Treble support after several months of evaluation and hard work, even though last year it said that old devices won’t get Project treble.  It also now lets you confirm your PIN without tapping, which was introduced in OxygenOS 5.1.11 update for the OnePlus 6 last week. OnePlus 6 OxygenOS closed beta registrations now open

OnePlus already released open beta for the OnePlus 6 back in May, and it keeps updating it frequently.  Now the company has announced that it is opening registrations for closed beta program to get feedback and refine or revise the OxygenOS based on that before pushing the public beta.

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.11 update brings screen flickering issue fix, HDR improvements and more

OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 5.1.11 update for the OnePlus 6, a month after it rolled out the 5.1.9 update  that brought several new features including Google Lens integration. The latest update fixes screen flickering issue in daylight, as it had promised earlier, network and Wi-Fi optimization and also improves HDR mode in camera.
