Today Karbonn has started teasing a new smartphone launch on September 15. The caption reads If you #NoHave the funkiest, coolest, smartest, awesomest smart phone, then get ready to be surprised! This coincides with Google’s event on September 15th in India, where it is expected launch the first Android One smartphones.
The video teaser reveals that the smartphone would exclusively be available on Snapdeal on September 15th.

Google’s Android One initiative that was announced back in June at the Google I/O developer event is targeted at offering sub $100 (Rs. 6000 approx.) smartphones. This uses reference hardware, stock software, app bundling and consistent Android update cycles. The reference hardware has a 4.5-inch screen, Dual SIM functionality, FM radio and SD card support. Micromax and Spice are other Android One partners.
