LG is all set to introduce its flagship G6 smartphone at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona on February 26th. Today it has announced that it will recruit customers in Korea between February 15 and 24 to offer a pre-launch experience of the G6. Customers who want to participate in the LG G6 Preliminary Experiment Group can head to LG Korea homepage from tomorrow and fill a simple questionnaire about their current smartphone and most useful functions of it. LG posts first quarterly operating loss in 6 years in Q4 2016, mobile revenue down 21% YoY due to weak G5 sales

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 1.34 trillion won (US$ 1.16 billion) in Q4 that ended December 31, 2016, which is up 12.2% compared to the same quarter last year, but it has reported operating loss of 35.2 billion won (US$30.1 million), compared to a profit of 348.9 billion won for the same quarter in 2015. LG Display today announced the world’s first 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD panel with a 18:9 aspect ratio. However, the company has not released an image of the panel, like they usually do. LG says that it has developed this display with 18:9 aspect ratio to provide more immersive viewing experiences and due to consumer demands for bigger screens. “18:9 aspect ratio is also optimized for multi-tasking, using dual-screen functions,” says LG.
