Lenovo launched their new series of Yoga tablets with Ashton Kutcher who is now one of the Product Engineers of the company. The new Yoga tablet series follows up with the Yoga convertible laptop series and brings multimode experience to the tablet category. Lenovo Yoga allows the users to experience the tablet in three modes – hold, tilt and stand mode.

Lenovo Vibe Z revealed with 5.5-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 processor

Lenovo has unveiled the Vibe Z (K910), the company’s latest flagship smartphone in China. The phone has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS  display at 400 PPI, larger than the Vibe X that was unveiled last month at IFA. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Lenovo India has launched four new Android smartphones in the A Series. The A850 is a mid-range smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, while the other entry-level smartphones, A516, A369i and A269i are powered by dual-core processors. The A850 has a 5.5-inch (960 x 540  pixels) IPS display with wide 178 degree viewing angle, the A516 has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480  pixels) IPS display with wide 178 degree viewing angle and the Lenovo A369i has a 4-inch (800 x 480  pixels) display. All these smartphones come with dual SIM support.

Lenovo has announced the S5000, a new tablet in the S series. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) wide-viewing angle display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Media Tek 8389 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 246 grams.  It has rear speakers and packs a 3450 mAh battery that offers up to 8 hours of  continuous WiFi browsing. Lenovo has announced the Vibe X, the company’s latest smartphone at the IFA 2013. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS “20/20 Vision” display at 440 PPI  for sharp images with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 88 degree wide angle lens. There is also a photo application to view and organize images, option to create puzzles and customize specific games from the photos, choose custom settings and filters and instant photo and video sharing. LG Optimus G Pro vs Lenovo K900

LG Optimus G Pro was LG’s first Full HD phone which was announced way back in January but only recently launched. The Lenovo K900 was also announced in January and has been available since June in India.

Both the phones are similar in the fact that both of them have a 5.5inch Full HD display. The internals are completely different with the G Pro being powered by a Snapdragon 600 Processor while the Lenovo K900 is powered by Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 vs Lenovo K900

Samsung is undoubtedly one of the front runners of the Android race while Lenovo are catching up with them fast. Samsung has been looking to expand its Galaxy portfolio and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 is a result of company’s interest in the 6inch+ category while the Lenovo K900 is Lenovo’s current flagship powered by an Intel processor.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 was launched at the end of May in Indian while the Lenovo K900 has been available since June although it had been announced way back in January earlier this year. Lenovo’s strong first quarter boosted by more mobile device shipments than PCs

Lenovo is one of the few companies that is doing good in both the PC and smart devices industry. As a fruit of its efforts, it has had a very successful first quarter in 2013, which ended June 30 with a revenue of US$8.8 billion which is a ten percent increase year-over-year. Also the company’s pre-tax income grew to US$215 million which is a 16% increase year-over-year and earnings grew by 23% year-over-year to US$174 million.

Lenovo A1000, A3000 and S6000 Android Tablets launched in India, priced between Rs. 8999 and Rs. 27000


Lenovo has launched three new Android tablets in India. These tablets were announced earlier at the MWC 2013 and the A1000 went on sale in India from the official Lenovo online store last month. The A1000 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK8317 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a SIM card slot with 2G data support, voice calling capabilities and a VGA front-facing camera. The A3000 also has a similar 7-inch display, but it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 8125 processor. It also supports 3G and voice calling.
