Google has updated Google Maps with a new design that makes it easier to find venues around you. It has updated driving, navigation, transit and explore maps that will subtly change based on what you’re doing. Google Maps will show the places scheduled on the calendar and will also show the location of a confirmed reservations from Gmail.

Google has rolled an update to the Home App that brings a refreshed new look, better recommendations, meaning it is now easy to find movies, shows, music with better search and with more control over the Home device.For those on Android, can now cast movie trailers on to the connected TV while still browsing content on your phone. With advanced sound settings, you can control bass and treble on your Google Assistant supported speakers.
The latest Android distribution numbers for November are in, and they show that Android 8.0 Oreo is now on 0.3% devices, while Nougat retains to close to 17.6% devices. Though features wise Google is doing a great job, it is the adoption that is moving slow.

Few users of the Pixel 2 XL on the Google Pixel community have reported that the touchscreen is being unresponsive near the edges of the screen. The original poster has noticed the lack of responsiveness of the touchscreen along with the curved edges of the Pixel 2 XL screen and has kick-started a discussion with a post and a display test video.
Problems for the latest and greatest Pixel 2 phones from Google aren’t stopping. The new to join the list is Assistant on both Pixel 2, and 2 XL is failing to detect voice input through Bluetooth headphones. This isn’t something new if you have used the original Pixel phones from last which also suffered poor Bluetooth performance.

Google has rolled out November security update for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL along with security patch brings tons of other improvements and fixes just as it said it would. Starting off with the promised saturated color mode which is here to fix the muted colors issue that many users have reported. It also includes fixes for the Pixel 2’s “clicking” issue in the earpiece.
At the Pixel event in October, Google introduced a new always music listen offline recognition feature which would automatically detect the song playing nearby. At the same event, Google mentioned that general recognition feature to the assistant would be rolling to Non-pixel phones as well and today that feature is being rolled out.
