Google unveiled Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones at an event in San Francisco earlier this month. At that time is said that the phones will be available for pre-order in India from Flipkart online and over 1000 retail stores from October 26th. Today Flipkart has announced several pre-order offers and said that pre-orders will begin 26th October at 00:00 hrs and deliveries will begin November 1st for Pixel 2 and from November 2nd for Pixel 2 XL.

Google app teardown reveals references to Quartz, could be Google Home-like device with screen

One thing the company didn’t announce back then is the company’s first ever custom System-on-chipset (SoC) which is called Pixel Visual Core that is an image processing chipset is being revealed today. The purpose of the chipset is to accelerate the HDR+ images 5x faster.

Google has officially mentioned that the original Quality unlimited photo uploads from the latest Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will have an expiration date of 2020, after which the picture upload will be allowed in slightly lower ‘high-quality’ resolution instead of Original.
