Google has quietly rolled out a new feature to Maps that is aimed at helping users discover places others have recommended. Google Maps now supports hashtags in reviews. Google suggests that users add up to five hashtags per review, and place them at the end of the review to make the text easier to read. The new commute tab feature one-tap access to live traffic and transit information tailored to your commute. It will let you know if your commute is going to be a normal one or if you’ll need extra time.

Google today announced that starting today, users can use Google Maps to easily plan where to go as a group. All you have to do is just long press on any place to add the place to shortlist-the small floating bubble on the side of your screen. Once you’ve added places, you can quickly share the list with your friends on any messaging platform, add or remove additional places, and vote together in Google Maps.
