YouTube has begun testing a new feature that allows users to express reactions during certain points in a video. The Unicode Consortium is working on a list of a total 179 emojis that it will be bringing Unicode 12 in 2019. The new candidates for Unicode 12 include service dog, deaf people, and mixed-race couples. Since these are possible candidates, there’s no way to tell if these would make it up to the final list. Unicode published the final Emoji 11.0 list of Emojis for 2018 back in February and today the company announced that the 11.0 will arrive on June 5th. A new mysterious bug found on the WhatsApp is causing the app to crash, it is the black dot emoji that when touched crashes or freezes the app. It is not tapping the emoji that causes the crash as much as what lies underneath it, meaning that tapping anywhere on the message; “<⚫> 👈🏻 can’t touch this” can trigger the bug. Apple has proposed 13-new accessibility emojis to be joined in the upcoming Unicode emoji release. The new list includes guide dog, hearing aid, prosthetic limbs, as well as people using canes and different types of wheelchairs. The new suite also adds emoji for people with disabilities. WhatsApp is getting its own emojis. The Facebook owned messaging app has now unveiled new set emojis that will be used in the app while chatting. Unicode has a new collection of emojis for rollout. The non-profit corporation Unicode Consortium actively develops and maintains emoji standards internationally.
