With the rollout of 5G services underway across India, we have decided to test how fast these networks are. And of course, a great way to do this is through speed tests. Our candidate device today is Samsung’s latest foldable smartphone, which is the Galaxy Z Fold4. Airtel pays Rs. 8312.4 crore upfront payment for 5G to DoT

Airtel acquired 5G spectrum worth Rs. 43,084 crore in the 5G auction a few weeks back, and the company said that its 5G deployment will start in August 2022. Today, Airtel said that it has paid Rs 8312.4 crores to the Department of Telecom (Government of India) towards dues for spectrum acquired in the recently concluded 5G auctions. Nearly 90% of Indian smartphone users want to upgrade to 5G: Ookla

Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio), Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea (Vi), and infrastructure company Adani Group were the four participants in the 5G auction in India. They paid a combined total of Rs 1.5 trillion (US$ 19 billion) for spectrum in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3300 MHz, and 26 GHz frequency bands. Airtel 5G deployment to begin this August

Nokia today signed a partnership with top telecom operator Bharti Airtel for the implementation of 5G radio access networks (RAN). This multi-year agreement comes on the heels of the recently concluded 5G spectrum auctions and the allocation of pan-India spectrum to Bharti Airtel, demonstrating the company’s commitment to ushering India into the 5G era.
