Samsung mobile communications head JK Shin has apparently confirmed to the Korean press that the 4-inch version of the Galaxy S III dubbed the Galaxy S III “mini” is all set to launch in Germany on October 11th.

Google has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 was unveiled in June came with Android 4.1.1 but it lacked landscape mode. The new Android 4.1.2 Over the Air (OTA) update is a minor update which is about 31MB. It brings landscape mode and improvements in performance, stability and bug fixes. The LG E960 that is rumored to be the next Nexus device was spotted running on the Android 4.1.2. LG Smartphone Idea Camp contest is over and the winners got away with the prize-worth Rs. 1,000,000 along with LG Smart phones as an additional prize of Rs. 500,000. LG launched the Smartphone Idea Camp contest on August 1st which received registrations from 3700 contestants and ended on 15th September, 2012. BGR.in reports that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th. This isn’t the first time an October 26 launch in Asia has been mentioned. Last month, The Malay Mail reported that the iPhone 5 would be coming to Malaysia on that date, pending stock availability. There is no concrete word about the pricing yet but multiple sources FoneArena spoke to indicate a pricing of around Rs.48500-52500 approximately for the 16GB iPhone 5. Samsung unveiled the first Windows Phone 8 device, ATIV S at IFA Berlin in August but didn’t reveal the availability or the pricing at that time. Now, UK’s online retailer Clove has announced that it is now availalble for pre-order with them and would ship at the end of this month. The Samsung ATIV S packs in a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. There is a 3 Megapixel Fixed-focus camera at the back and it has a 3.5mm audio Jack and Built in FM Antenna. It has a dedicated music key to launch the music player easily. Twitter user @Football4PDA has leaked several devices in the past, such as the HTC One X+, and he’s proven to be a reliable source of information. His latest tweet says HTC is going to announce a new phone called DLX. It’s highlight feature will be a 5 inch 1080p display. Under the hood there’s supposed to be a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, and on the back of the device there should be a 12 megapixel camera. MTS has launched their new Android Smartphone MTag 353. It is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), similar to the MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 that was launched in August.
