Yahoo Weather for Android

Yahoo! released a new Yahoo! Weather app for iPhone back in April. Now the new weather app is available for Android as an update. This brings lot of new features including weather information and forecasts along with photos that match your location, Interactive radar, satellite, heat, and wind map. It also has new home screen widgets. You can swipe vertically for detailed weather information and swipe horizontally for favorite locations.

Asphalt 8: Airborne for Android, iPhone and iPad to finally launch on August 22

The wait for Gameloft’s most awaited racing game seems to go on forever after it was delayed once. On August 8th, when Google demoed their new Nexus 7, they did it in style by taking Gameloft’s Asphalt 8 and showing off the device’s ability to handle high end graphics. Gameloft announced the game back in June with the first trailer.

Nokia Lumia Amber update starts for Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia has announced that they have started rolling out the most expected Amber update for their Lumia devices running on Windows Phone 8. This would bring lot of new features including improved camera, Nokia Smart Camera, Nokia Glance Screen with double-tap to unlock, FM Radio, Flip to silence and lots more new features. Lenovo’s strong first quarter boosted by more mobile device shipments than PCs

Lenovo is one of the few companies that is doing good in both the PC and smart devices industry. As a fruit of its efforts, it has had a very successful first quarter in 2013, which ended June 30 with a revenue of US$8.8 billion which is a ten percent increase year-over-year. Also the company’s pre-tax income grew to US$215 million which is a 16% increase year-over-year and earnings grew by 23% year-over-year to US$174 million.

Country wise distribution list for Samsung Galaxy Note III leaked

Curious to know whether you’ll be getting the Exynos Octa Core powered variant of Samsung’s next top of the range phablet or will you be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 powered variant ? SamMobile claim to have got their hands on a country wise distribution list of said handset that will inform you exactly which variant you’ll be getting.

The report goes on to state that the LTE variant of the handset ie SM-N9005 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor clocked at 2.3Ghz and will be paired with an Adreno 330 GPU. It will feature 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. While this will carry on in the 3G variant as well, the processor will be switched with the Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa Core CPU and will be paired with the Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. China will also be getting a dual SIM version of the handset that will also have the Exynos 5420 Octa Core CPU. It has a 5-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Other features are similar to its predecessor including  dual SIM support with dual standby and supports 2G (EDGE) connectivity. This would let 2G pre-paid customers enjoy 1947 MB of 2G data on recharge of Rs. 32. This offer is available to all GSM pre-paid customers on 2G network. Usually the Rs. 32 pack offers just 600 MB of data. Other operators are yet to announce their Independence Day offers.
