Age of Empires goes mobile with World Domination for iOS, Android and Windows Phone

Age of Empires, the classic strategy game that put you in command of your favorite characters from history, is going mobile, with a game titled “Age of Empires: World Domination” for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. This Microsoft title, that has been the rage among RTS online multiplayer geeks for a long time, has gone through many iterations, with the company recently announcing that it will be licensing its franchise for the mobile platforms. As reported earlier, this mobile version takes its form thanks to KLab Global, a game development company that will be doing this port. The game is slated to be available for all the major mobile platforms including iOS, Android and Windows Phone and will ship this summer. Here’s the game trailer –

Facebook is getting a lot of heat from publishers that their page’s content is not making it to the timeline of its fans and that is not at all. Facebook is being bombarded with a lot of spammy posts that ask the user for engagement like asking them to share the pic, like the pic or comment on it. Facebook has announced that it is planning to punish the publishers for such spammy posts.

LG Odin chipset entering mass production soon, to skip flagship G3

As competition in the chipset space increases, its been rumored that LG has plans of their own to bring along an ARM based system on chip dubbed Odin. While rumors have been around for a couple of years now, we finally might have something concrete around the specifics of the chipset. Believed to be based on the big.LITTLE configuration that we talked about a while back, the Odin chipset would pair four Cortex A15 cores clocked at 2.2Ghz each with four Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7Ghz. Android’s Verify Apps feature to continuously monitor for malware

Motorola launched the Moto X in India last month. You might have already seen the unboxing and benchmarks of the device few months back. We brought you the photo gallery of the device recently. Here we have the camera samples of the smartphone. The Moto X has a 10.5-megapixel OmniVision (OV10820) 1/2.5″ 1.4 um sensor with an f2.4 lens. This captures captures RAW images using a RGBC (red / green / blue / clear) color filter and the chip automatically converts the image into Bayer format. Google’s Project Ara gains a Modular Development Kit

Google might have sold off Motorola to Lenovo, but is keeping all those patents and research teams close to Mountain View. Motorola’s R&D initially unveiled a concept called “Ara”, the first modular smartphone that has the potential to totally change the way we look at, and buy smartphones. The concept is pretty simple, as it follows the typical “Build you own PC” method, which grants you the flexibility of choice in interesting permutations and combinations. Ara now belongs to Google, and naturally, we are seeing some momentum here, with them announcing a Modular Development Kit, using which hardware manufacturers or “Module Developers” can create different modules that will eventually turn up on your own custom Ara phone.

Facebook to pull Messaging from main app, force users to download Facebook Messenger

Facebook users are asked to download the Facebook Messenger app to use messaging service. First announced in August 2013, the Moto X finally made its way to Indian shores and hit retail last month. The phone uses a unique chipset that is called the X8 Mobile Computing system that allows it to be contextually aware. Powering the phone is a 1.7Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC with an Adreno 320 GPU. This is paired with two separate co-processor units that are responsible for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Contextual Awareness. These coprocessors give the Moto X its always listening capabilities that really come into life when combined with Google Now’s contextual capabilities. Zomato adorns a social makeover with new UI and features

Zomato has undergone a major revamp that makes the popular restaurant discovery guide more social. The food directory has added a new social layer which gives users personalised recommendations. For starters, the app has now added mandatory login either with Facebook or Google account. Prior to this users could skip the login process entirely unlike now. This also means that unregistered users can no longer make use of the database to view menus or reviews when searching for a new restaurant.
