Xiaomi today announced that it sold 61.12 million smartphones in 2014 and has exceeded its 60 million target. This is a 227% increase compared to its sales the previous year. Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 2 4G smartphone in China as expected. It has the same 4.7-inch HD screen present in Redmi and Redmi 1S, but this is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with MIUI 6 on top. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
