Microsoft just announced the Microsoft Band, the company’s first fitness band and the new Microsoft Health platform. The Microsoft Band has 10 smart sensors, including a UV sensor for sun exposure and a galvanic skin response measurement.  It offers heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, sleep quality tracking and more. It also offers notifications for your including incoming calls, emails, texts and more as well as access to Cortana. LG reports Q3 2014 earnings, record 16.8 million smartphones shipped

LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q3 2014, in which it has reported net profit of 203 billion Won (US$ 194 million) with operating profits of 461.3 billion Won (US$ 449.61 million). Both the operating profits and net profits were down compared to last quarter, but the these have doubled compared to the quarter a year earlier. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and even has 4G LTE connectivity. Oppo N3 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, 16MP auto rotating camera announced

Oppo just announced the Oppo N3, the latest smartphone in the N series at an event in Singapore. It a 5.5-inch 1080p display, features a 16-megapixel 206-degree rotating camera, dual LED flash, 1/2.3″ sensor,  pixel size of 1.34 microns and f/2.2 aperture. OnePlus to hold second pre-order for OnePlus One on November 17

OnePlus One went up for pre-order on October 27th, however a number of users experienced problems at the time of ordering the much awaited device. The Chinese company’s site experienced a massive hit in traffic, causing it to be nearly impossible for customers to process an order.
