Qualcomm has announced DragonBoard 410c, a credit card-sized low-cost development board design based on the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor for developers, makers and OEMs. This will support rapid software development and prototyping for commercializing new inventions and products and it is the world’s first high performance, 64-bit capable, low cost ARM based platforms, says the company. Lava has launched Fuel 10 and Fuel 25, two new smartphones in the Fuel series with a 3000mAh battery. The Iris Fuel 10 has a 4.5-inch WVGA display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. The Iris Fuel 25 has a 5-inch FWVGA display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. Both these smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat), have 3G connectivity and dual SIM support. Samsung Galaxy Win 2 with 4.5-inch display, 4G LTE launched in Brazil

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Win 2 (SM-G360BT), successor of last year’s Galaxy Win in Brazil. It has a 4.5-inch WVGA display, slightly smaller than the first Galaxy Win smartphone, but this has a different quad-core processor adding 4G support and runs on Android KitKat. It has the same 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, but the front-facing camera has been upped to 2MP from VGA. Cyanogen teams up with Boxer for new email app

Cyanogen has partnered with email app Boxer  that will now come pre-loaded on the next version of Cyanogen OS. This partnership will bring the premium version of Boxer along with a new Material Design that will only be found in Cyanogen OS 12.

VAIO Corporation has launched VAIO Phone (VA-10J), the company’s first smartphone in partnership with Japan communication, as expected.
