OnePlus has finally started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.2.0 OTA update for the OnePlus X smartphone, couple of months after it rolled out the OxygenOS 2.1.3 update. This update fixes USSD issues for India finally, so that pre-paid users will now receive USSD notification after a call, SMS and for data usage. The update also adds manual mode that is already present in the OnePlus 2, option to save images in SD card directly in camera, security patches, bug fixes and optimizations. Vodafone launches 4G LTE services in Kolkata

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Kolkata after a month of launching its 4G services in Kerala. It was launched in Mysore earlier this month. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3 and is built on a strong fibre backhaul. Vodafone 4G is available in BBD Bag, Park Street, Alipore, Ballygunge, Salt Lake Sector 5, Airport and EM bypass in the circle and the roll-out will be completed across all parts of Kolkata by June 2016 in a phased manner. Lenovo has announced K5 Note, the successor of the K4 Note that was launched in India recently, after it got certified by TENAA. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), similar to the K4 Note, but this is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a aluminium unibody design and fingerprint sensor on the back that can detect fingerprints in just 0.3 seconds. Airtel launches 4G LTE in Manjeri, Tirurangadi and Thalaserry, now in 50 towns in Kerala

Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi in Manjeri, Tirurangadi & Thalaserry in Kerala. With this Airtel 4G is now present in 50 towns in Kerala. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India earlier back in August last year. It was launched in Kochi in the same month and in Thiruvananthapuram in September.  Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Samsung seeds Android Marshmallow accidentally to yet another device – the Galaxy S5
