Amazon Kindle Lite Beta for Android released

A week after updating the Kindle app, Amazon has released Kindle Lite app for Android in Beta for low-end Android smartphones. Amazon says that the app has been crafted specially for Indian readers. The app is less than 2MB in size so takes significantly less space on the smartphone, works smoothly even on 2G networks and lets you monitor your data usage and manage storage.

iPhone X will be available from Airtel Online Store starting November 3

Airtel today announced that the iPhone X will go on sale on Airtel’s Online Store starting 6.00 pm, November 3, 2017. It will be available exclusively to Airtel postpaid customers as an unlocked device on a first come first serve and full payment basis, till stocks last, said Airtel. It will also deliver the phone in 21 cities across India free of charge to customers’ doorstep. The company did not introduce any special plans for the iPhone X.

Sony Corporation has reported its revenues for the second quarter of the financial year 2017 that ended September 30, 2017. Sales increased by 22.1% to 2,062.5 billion yen compared to the same quarter last year due to the impact of foreign exchange rates and an increase in Game & Network Services (G&NS) segment sales. Google’s first India Cloud Platform region launched in Mumbai

Google today has announced the first cloud region in India which goes live in Mumbai. India’s cloud region will join other regions like Singapore, Taiwan, Sydney and Tokyo in Asia Pacific region. Google said that hosting applications in the new region can improve latency from 20-90% for end users in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and of course Mumbai, compared to hosting them in the closest region, Singapore.
