LG Optimus Vu coming to Verizon as LG Intuition on September 6 for $199.99

LG has released the Optimus Vu for Verizon Wireless in the USA as Intuition. It would have similar features as the Korean version including a 5-inch display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio and 650 nits brightness, 1.5 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon Processor, 4G LTE support, but would come with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on-board. Google Maps for Android gets Voice guided turn-by-turn Navigation and Live Traffic in India

Google has started rolling out 2 new features, Voice guided turn-by-turn Navigation and Live Traffic updates for the Google Maps for Android in India. The Voice guided turn-by-turn Navigation would be helpful while driving or walking. You can click the navigate button after you request for a destination. You can also turn the voice navigation off or select alternative routes. This feature was introduced back in 2009. Micromax Funbook Alpha launched for Rs. 5999

Micromax has launched Funbook Alpha (P250), their new tablet with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1 GHz processor with Dual Mali 400– the 2D/3D Graphics Processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Winknet MF50 3G Pocket Wi-Fi Router Review

Winknet launched the MF50 3G Pocket Wi-Fi Router, earlier this month in India. It is manufactured by ZTE and has HSPA support up to 14.4 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload speeds. It has a LCD display, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n & WPS support that lets you connect up to 10 WiFi-enabled devices and comes with a 1500 mAh battery. Since it was originally launched in July for BSNL with bundled plans, the box has BSNL branding. Tata Docomo launched 3G Wi-Fi Hub last year at a similar price, but it offers download speeds only up to 7.2 Mbps and lets you share the connection only with 5 WiFi-enabled devices. Microsoft, in partnership with Yuvraj Singh’s cancer awareness initiative YouWeCan Fight Cancer has launched YouWeCan app initially, exclusively for the Windows Phone devices. This app is free to try, but the paid version at Rs. 565 gives users an opportunity to contribute their bit to fight cancer most directly, as this is what one Cancer detection costs. Large portion of the payment automatically goes to the Yuvraj Singh Foundation for their anti-cancer drive. Tourists visiting India cannot get SIM cards with more than 3 months validity

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has asked the service providers not to provide SIM cards with a validity of more than 3 months to the tourists from other countries visiting India. They have also asked the operators to provide SIM cards only with a passport with a valid Visa, and the validity of these SIM cards should not be beyond the validity of the visa. Sony Xperia J that was announced at IFA last week has been priced in UK. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that it would be available late October. The Xperia J has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with gorilla glass protection, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It is 9.2 mm thick and weighs 124 grams.
