iBall has launched iBall Slide 6351-Q40, the latest budget tablet in the iBall Slide series. It is an entry-level Wi-Fi Tablet, says iBall, but the earpiece on the top is weird, even though the tablet doesn’t have voice calling capabilities. It has a 7-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Google releases standalone Messenger app for Android

Google removed messaging app on Nexus devices and released an updated Hangouts app that combines SMS and Hangouts conversation. Now Google has released a separate messaging app called Messenger instead of using Hangouts as the messaging app. It can handle both SMS and MMS and lets you share pictures and videos from the chat dialog, search contacts and conversations, block SMSs, send audio messages, send emjios and more. Lenovo launched the Vibe X2 smartphone in India last week, and the smartphone went on sale for Rs. 19999 earlier this week. We brought you the unboxing of the Vibe X2 recently, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595M processor which as four ARM Cortex-A17 cores clocked at 2GHz per core and four ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.69GHz per core, based on ARM big.LITTLE and 28nm HPM process. Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for Nexus 5, 7 WiFi (2012 & 2013) and 10 now available

Immediately after it started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update, Google has released factory images and binaries for the Nexus 5, WiFi variants of both Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013 and the Nexus 10. Factory images and binaries for the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 6 are not available yet. Google released factory images for Nexus 9 and the Nexus Player last week. Google has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop over-the-air(OTA) update for Nexus 5, WiFi variants of both Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus 10. Update for the 3G/LTE versions of the Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 and Nexus 4 haven’t started yet. The Nexus 6 and the Nexus 9 have received a minor update to address bugs. Press shots of the Acer Iconia Tab 7 A1-724, the company’s upcoming tablet with voice calling capabilities surfaced last month. Now the tablet has surfaced on GFXBench database that reveals the specifications of the tablet. According to the listing, the tablet has a 7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC with Adreno 306 GPU and Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). LINE Corporation has launched LINE Maps for Indoor for Android. This lets users find location in complicated indoor areas, such as department stores, shopping malls and more places. This app initially offers indoor maps of 37 facilities in the Tokyo, Japan and is available in five languages that includes, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), English, Japanese and Korean. Panasonic Eluga SPanasonic has launched Eluga S, the company’s latest smartphone in the Eluga series. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.4 GHz True Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a new BLINK PLAY features that lets users capture selfies or groupies with the front-facing camera by just blinking your eyes to capture the image on an automatic three-second countdown.

LG has launched Tone Infinim (HBS-900), premium Bluetooth stereo headset developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon in India. It was unveiled back in March, has a stylish design that is almost similar to previous Tone series headsets from LG, but this has a glossy metallic finish. It has retractable wire management technology for tangle-free operation, jog button to fast forward and rewind, sound and vibration alert to inform of incoming messages, current time and battery status. Aircel launches 3G services in Mumbai, launches plans with extra data for Facebook and Whatsapp usage

Aircel has launched their 3G services in Mumbai that is available for both mobile phones and 3G dongles. Mumbai becomes the third circle where the company has launched its 3G services this year after Delhi and Rajasthan. Aircel customers can just recharge by opting for a tariff plan to get the 3G activated. The tariff plans include, 3G data benefits, voice calls and upto 300 MB of Free Facebook and Whatsapp. The internet pack starts from as low as Rs. 13 and goes till Rs. 195 for 1GB of data. HTC launched the Desire 820 smartphone in India last month for Rs. 24990. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Desire 820 is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.54 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.0 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU. The Desire 820 has a 5.5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the Desire 816 that has a Snapdragon 400 processor.
